Lucknow: Four teenage boys drowned in the Rapti River in Gorakhpur while allegedly attempting to shoot social media reels and perform stunts.The incident occurred on Wednesday near the Mirzapur Ghat under the Khorabar area, where a group of nine boys went on bicycles. Their bodies were recovered after a two-day search on Friday.Police said five boys had entered the river near a pontoon bridge to take a bath and record videos. Four of them — Aman, 15, Vivek Nishad, 15, Gagan Paswan, 15, and Aniket Yadav, 13, slipped into deep water and drowned. One of their friends, Rajkaran, managed to swim back to safety and alerted locals. Teams of SDRF and NDRF launched an extensive search operation. Vivek’s body was recovered on Thursday evening, while the remaining three bodies were found floating in the river on Friday morning. Police recovered bicycles, clothes and a mobile phone from the site.
