Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) on Saturday issued the official notification for Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2026, a qualifying examination for recruitment to various Group ‘C’ posts in govt departments.According to the notification, the online registration and application process will begin on Aug 3 through the commission’s official website. Interested candidates may submit their applications and pay the required examination fee until Sept 1. The last date for fee payment and submission of completed application forms is also Sept 1, while candidates will be allowed to make corrections in their applications until Sept 8.The commission has made One Time Registration (OTR) mandatory for all applicants. Candidates must ensure that their OTR profiles are complete and updated before applying for PET 2026. The notification states that only applicants with a valid and verified OTR number will be eligible to submit the examination form.UPSSSC highlighted that PET has become the primary screening examination for recruitment to Group ‘C’ posts under state govt departments. Candidates have been advised to carefully read the detailed guidelines available on the commission’s website before submitting applications.
