Lucknow: Sultanpur police registered an FIR against Samajwadi Party (SP) women wing national president Seema Rajbhar following allegations that she made defamatory remarks against a political rival through social media posts and a podcast interview.The complaint was filed by Radhika Patel, national president of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party mahila manch, at the cyber police station in Sultanpur.According to the complaint, Patel alleged that Rajbhar shared an objectionable post on her Facebook account on May 12.The complainant alleged that the post contained false and fabricated allegations against her, senior SBSP functionaries and other party office-bearers.Patel further alleged that during an interview aired on Jun 6 on the social media platform ‘Podcast with Zeenat’, Rajbhar made defamatory and misleading statements about her and the SBSP’s top functionaries. According to the complaint, the interview was later circulated widely on social media platforms.Cyber police station in charge Kanchan Singh said an FIR was registered on Sunday based on the complaint. She said the allegations are being examined and appropriate legal action will be taken on the basis of the evidence collected during the investigation.
