Lucknow: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath will be in Meerut on Saturday, where he will welcome Shiv devotees participating in the Kanwar Yatra with a shower of flowers. The CM will also conduct an aerial survey of the Kanwar Yatra route and review security and other arrangements.A govt spokesperson said that the CM will reach Meerut by helicopter from Hindon airport. During this ride, he will conduct an aerial survey of the kanwar route from Hindon to Meerut, looking at security, traffic and other administrative arrangements. He will then reach a designated site near the Dulhaida police outpost in Modipuram, from where he will shower flowers on the kanwar yatris.A helipad had been prepared at the Shobhit University campus for the CM. The LIU, anti-sabotage and bomb disposal squads were deployed for additional security while security along the kanwar route was also tightened.On Friday, ADG of Meerut zone, Bhanu Bhaskar, DIG Kalanidhi Naithani and DM VK Singh inspected the event venue, helipad and kanwar route to review security and other arrangements. Drone cameras were used to review arrangements.
