Delaware proclaimed August 15, 2026, as India Day, joining New York and New Jersey. Governor Matthew Meyer highlighted the growing Indian-American community’s contributions to Delaware. New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill and New York Governor Kathy Hochul also issued similar proclamations. These declarations recognize the Indian-American community’s significant contributions to society. The proclamations coincide with India’s upcoming 80th Independence Day celebrations.
