The Rashtriya Janata Dal on Sunday targeted Bihar health minister Nishant Kumar by sharing a video of him hoisting the Tricolour on Independence Day. The Lalu Yadav-led party mocked former chief minister Nitish Kumar’s son over his gesture shortly after the flag-hoisting.Posting the video on its official account, the RJD asked, “Who is the health minister saluting?”Taking its attack further, the main opposition party in Bihar said, “And to whom is he turning his back?”JD(U) leader Nishant Kumar, the son of Bihar’s longest-serving chief minister, has repeatedly come under the opposition’s scrutiny over his gestures on several occasions.Nishant Kumar was inducted into the state Cabinet soon after Samrat Choudhary became chief minister, replacing Nitish Kumar. Nitish subsequently became a Rajya Sabha member, marking the end of the Lalu-Nitish era in Bihar.
