LUCKNOW: Ekana Stadium will host a one-day international (ODI) match between India and Afghanistan on June 17. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the schedule for Afghanistan’s tour of India in June 2026 on Monday. Afghanistan will play a one-off Test match, followed by a three-match ODI series. The ODI series is set to feature Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who are expected to be in action at Ekana Stadium. This will mark their return to the venue in Indian colours after the India vs England ODI during the 2023 World Cup. Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) secretary Prem Manohar Gupta said, “We are delighted that the BCCI has allotted the India vs Afghanistan ODI, scheduled on June 17, 2026, to Lucknow. Coming immediately after the IPL season, this match once again reinforces the stadium’s position as one of India’s premier international venues. For UPCA, it is a matter of pride and responsibility to host another high-profile international fixture, and we remain committed to delivering world-class facilities, seamless match operations, and an unforgettable experience for players and fans alike.”
