Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh chapter of the All India Students’ Association (AISA), under its ‘GenZ Rising’ campaign, announced a statewide GEN-Z Mahajutan Yatra on Tuesday.The yatra aims to connect ongoing student and youth struggles across the state with a broader movement for education, employment, social justice and democratic rights. The yatra will begin in Prayagraj on Sep 9 and travel through Rae Bareli, Varanasi, Azamgarh, Gorakhpur, Faizabad, Lucknow and Meerut, with public gatherings planned at each stop.Manish Kumar, president of AISA, UP, who sat on a 23-day hunger strike at Jantar Mantar, said that in UP, students have repeatedly taken to the streets for various issues. ” The GEN-Z Mahajutan Yatra will bring these struggles together and build a wider student-youth movement across UP,” said AISA national secretary Prosenjit Kumar.
