Lucknow: In a vibrant display of colours, music and communal harmony ahead of Holi, hundreds of people gathered at Vibhuti Khand in Gomti Nagar for a Holi Milan programme hosted by BJP functionary Neeraj Singh on Monday evening.The celebration brought together senior politicians, representatives of various communities and citizens who exchanged festive greetings.Deputy chief ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, minister Dayashankar Singh, Danish Azad, Rajya Sabha member Dinesh Sharma and BJP Mahanagar president Anand Dwivedi were among the prominent attendees.Neeraj Singh welcomed the guests by applying ‘gulal’ and presenting traditional ‘angvastra’. Leaders and attendees exchanged greetings and played with colours, including a symbolic floral Holi.Holi songs and ‘bhajans’ added to the festive mood, with people joining in the celebrations. Guests were served ‘gujhiya’, ‘thandai’ and ‘chaat’. The programme continued till late in the night as people from different communities embraced each other and celebrated the festival together.
