Lucknow: Lucknow University will introduce two new postgraduate programmes, M. Pharma in Pharmaceutics and M. Pharma in Pharmacology, at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences located on the university’s new campus. The courses have received official approval from the pharmacy council of India (PCI) and admissions will begin from the 2026–27 academic session.Each programme will offer 15 seats. The approval is considered a significant achievement for the institute as it confirms that its infrastructure laboratories and research facilities meet the standards set by the PCI. Along with this development, the B. Pharma undergraduate programme and D. Pharma diploma course, which are already being run by the institute, have also received approval for renewal from PCI for the academic session 2026–27. “The new courses will provide students with wider opportunities for advanced learning, research and specialization in pharmaceutical sciences,” said vice chancellor Prof JP Saini.
