JAMMU: Two mobile phones were recovered during a routine check from a parcel meant for an inmate lodged at Bhaderwah Jail in Jammu’s Doda district Friday. The inmate is booked under the Public Safety Act (PSA), sources said.The parcel was to be delivered to Irshad Ahmad Wani, a resident of Hajin in Bandipora district. He has been in jail for over a month, sources said. “Preliminary inquiry revealed the parcel was allegedly booked by one Mohammed Younis Wani, resident of Pulwama district,” they added.An FIR has been registered, and further investigation initiated to ascertain the involvement of those behind the attempt to smuggle phones inside the jail, sources said.
