Lucknow: Innovation, scientific thinking and leadership development were on full display as a state-level children’s festival, ‘Pragati – From Self-Respect to Equality and International Women’s Day’ was organised on Sunday to mark International Women’s Day.The event, held at Dayal Gateway, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers and parents from across the state.A total of 22 thematic stalls were set up at the venue and emerged as the major attraction of the festival. The stalls presented interactive and activity-based learning modules focusing on gender equality, scientific outlook, social-emotional learning, parental engagement and career guidance.The exhibition featured Teacher Teaching-Learning Material (TLM) and puppet sections, where teachers displayed innovative learning tools and creative puppet shows highlighting themes such as women’s empowerment, gender equality, child rights and life skills. Teachers from districts including Kannauj, Shamli, Sitapur, Ayodhya, Rae Bareli, Barabanki, Lakhimpur, Lucknow, Meerut and Amethi showcased models promoting the concept of “learning by doing”.The exhibition also focused on social-emotional learning and leadership development. It also parental participation and career counselling through interactive forums, a career guidance centre, leadership activities and a Children’s Parliament.
