Lucknow: Hailing chief minister Yogi Adityanath as the pride of Uttar Pradesh, participants attending the International Women’s Day event in Lucknow said that women are receiving new opportunities for safety, respect, and employment.Anandi Agarwal of the Indian Industries Association, who was honoured with the Nari Shakti Award, said that the CM had carried out unprecedented work for women.“The way he prioritised women’s safety and empowerment is commendable. The state govt will hopefully continue to give highest priority to safety and dignity of women,” she said.Police inspector Neelam Rana said the CM had set an example in the field of women’s welfare and safety.Head constable Vedvati described the CM as the protector of sisters and daughters and said that the steps taken by the govt for women’s safety in the state were highly commendable.Head constable Shimla Singh said that under the Yogi govt, women felt completely safe and were receiving respect in society.Gunja Gupta from Kanpur said, “It is a matter of pride that we have a Chief Minister like Yogi. We want to actively contribute to the development of the state.”Smriti Kapoor from Kanpur said, “There could not be a bigger gift than getting the opportunity to celebrate the day with the CM.” Sunaina Kumari from Lucknow said, “Opportunities are given on the basis of merit and eligibility rather than caste, religion, or region.”Rita Verma from Kannauj said the voices of common people were being heard, while Anjum Fatima from Lucknow said in the Yogi govt everyone received recognition according to capability.
