Lucknow: Lucknow Book Fair will be held at Ravindralaya from Mar 13 to 22, bringing together publishers, writers and readers for a 10-day literary and cultural event in the city. Fair director Akarsh Chandel said on Tuesday that over 60 publishers from across the country are participating.Available at the fair will be fiction, non-fiction books, competitive exam guides, spiritual literature, academic texts, contemporary fiction, children’s books, Dalit literature and self-help books. A separate stall will be set up for local writers to display and sell their books. Fair coordinator Manoj Chandel said the aim was to provide a platform to emerging and independent authors from the region not represented by major publishing houses.The fair will also host cultural programmes over 10 days. Visitors will be offered discounts of up to 50% on select books, depending on publishers, while a minimum 10% discount will be available on all purchases, said Manoj Chandel.
