MEERUT: A day after a Sambhal circle officer courted controversy by warning the minority community against any solidarity with Iran during Friday and Eid prayers, Meerut SSP Avinash Pandey stated passports will be cancelled if namaz is offered on roads, reports Sandeep Rai. “If someone is found flouting the rule, their passports will be cancelled, among other actions,” the Meerut SSP had said while issuing a diktat during a peace meeting ahead of Eid festivities.
