Lucknow: Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) has said that 12% interest will be charged on defaulters who fail to deposit their house tax by Mar 31, and strict action will be taken against those who continue to delay the payment.The municipal body launched an awareness drive in Zone-3 of the city on Sunday to inform the citizens about the deadline and help them avoid penalties. A rally using e-rickshaws and sanitation vehicles was taken out across 6 wards– Lala Lala Lajpat Rai, Mahanagar, Vivekanandpuri, Daliganj and Nirala Nagar. To facilitate taxpayers, LMC has decided that all zonal offices, including Zone-3, will remain open from 8am to 6pm even during Navratri and Eid. TNN
