Lucknow: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday met a delegation of senior officers from the Indian Armed Forces, armies of various countries, and civil services of the govt of India, who are undergoing training under the ‘National Security and Strategic Study’ programme organised by the National Defence College, ministry of defence.The delegation, which was in Lucknow on Monday, also called upon chief secretary SP Goyal.Impressing upon them the changes in UP over the past nine years, the CM said that ‘Trust and Technology’ were the two key pillars of the state’s transformation.“In the last nine years, the state’s economy grew three times, and today UP has the largest highway and expressway network in the country, with approximately 55% of the country’s expressways located here. Before 2017, security was a major challenge, but the govt established the rule of law. Better law and order gave new momentum to investment and development,” the CM said.He spoke about the upcoming Defence Industrial Corridor, under which a BrahMos missile manufacturing unit was established in Lucknow. This, he said, will work as an anchor unit that will provide opportunities to numerous small enterprises. He also invited the officers to visit the Defence Corridor.Highlighting the infrastructural development, the CM spoke about the Noida International Airport and the Ganga Expressway. He mentioned the establishment of cyber forensic labs in every division, forensic mobile vans in every district, and 75 cyber police stations that were set up to counter crime. The CM also mentioned the various welfare schemes that were rolled out in UP. During the interaction, officers asked the CM to comment on the many good policies that are formulated in India but are not effectively implemented.
