Lucknow: The postmortem examination of Vishnu Yadav revealed the extent of the brutal assault that led to his death, with doctors documenting as many as 20 ante-mortem injuries on his body, including 16 concentrated on the skull alone.According to the autopsy report accessed by TOI, the majority of injuries were inflicted on the head, indicating repeated and targeted blows. The skull bore multiple lacerations, contusions, and abrasions across the frontal, parietal, and temporal regions. Medical experts noted that several of these injuries were deep and severe, with signs of underlying fractures and extensive damage to the cranial structure. Apart from the head injuries, additional wounds were recorded on the face and neck. The facial region showed visible contusions and abrasions, particularly around the cheeks and jaw, while the neck bore marks consistent with blunt force impact. During internal examination, doctors found significant cranio-cerebral damage, including fractures of the skull and intracranial haemorrhage. The severity of internal bleeding pointed to sustained and forceful assault. The autopsy concluded that the cause of death was shock and haemorrhage resulting from multiple ante-mortem injuries, primarily the severe head trauma. The report suggests that the injuries were caused by repeated blows with a blunt object, indicating a violent and prolonged attack. Family members of Vishnu have demanded the death penalty. Rohit Yadav, brother of the deceased, said, “What was done to Vishnu is beyond cruelty. We want nothing less than the death penalty for all those involved.” Echoing the demand, Vishnu’s father, Chhedilal Yadav, said the family had lost their son in a brutal manner and justice would only be served if the accused are given capital punishment.
