Lucknow: To celebrate the Navratri festival, the department of women welfare will launch a month-long campaign under Mission Shakti on Mar 21.Events will be organised at public places where govt will inform women and children about their rights, safety measures and other schemes. Director of the women welfare department Vandana Verma said that direct interaction with women and children will be established through mobile vans and information stalls. The campaign will provide information on domestic violence, safety rights and support systems.Verma said that awareness will be created about various schemes, including the CM Kanya Sumangala Yojana, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, One Stop Centres, 181 Women Helpline, 1098 Child Helpline and the CM Bal Seva Yojana. Information about services available for assistance to distressed women will be provided.
