LUCKNOW: Team India spinner Kuldeep Yadav added a touch of humour to a celebratory evening at the Times of India Sports Awards (TOISA) 2025, offering a candid glimpse into his newly married life while being honoured for his performances. The Uttar Pradesh spinner, who was among several athletes felicitated with a Special Honour, drew laughter with his honest admission about his recent marriage with Vanshika Chadha. “I was a little nervous at the beginning, before the marriage. After that, it was unbelievable. It feels really good, it’s the start of a new life,” Kuldeep said, reflecting on the early days after recently tying the knot.He followed it up with a light-hearted line that quickly became a highlight of the evening: “Nayi shaadhi sabko acchi lagti hai, maine ek cheez sikhi hai 4-5 dino mein ki biwi ki suno sirf toh acchi chalegi life. (Everyone enjoys the early days of marriage. I’ve learned one thing in the last 4–5 days, if you just listen to your wife, life will go smoothly)”Kuldeep, along with Deepti Sharma, was recognised for his contribution to Indian cricket during the year, as part of a broader segment honouring athletes from Uttar Pradesh across disciplines.
