NEW DELHI: Lauding its pivotal role, PM Narendra Modi on Thursday said that media helps in creating public awareness and nurtures active participation in issues of social and national importance.“As the nation marches towards building Viksit Bharat, the media’s contribution will prove significant in strengthening our unity and sense of purpose,” he said in a special written message at Times Now Summit 2026.While congratulating Times Network on its new brand identity, the PM said: “In this journey, platforms like Times Group play a vital role, informing citizens, shaping ideas, strengthening dialogues and amplifying India’s voice on the global stage. A new identity for Times Network is a forward-looking step that reflects progress.”Information and broadcasting minister Ashwini Vaishnaw unveiled the new brand identity along with Times Group MD Vineet Jain.“This is far more than a visual transformation. It is a declaration of purpose. It reflects a network that is not bound by geography but energised by connection. This new identity embodies a larger vision of a network that serves as a bridge – between India and the world, and equally, between the world and India,” Times Group MD said.
