Lucknow: A salesman was stabbed and robbed of Rs 10 lakh cash by four unidentified assailants in the Khadra area of Lucknow on late Wednesday night.The incident took place around 11:28pm in a narrow lane of Tarannum Market under the Madeyganj police station limits. The victim, identified as Harsh Jaiswal, is a resident of Sarai Premraj in Kakori, and was returning after collecting daily cash from liquor shops on behalf of his employer, Manish Jaiswal.According to police, the four miscreants were already waiting for the victim when he entered the Tarannum Market lane. As soon as he reached the spot, the attackers surrounded him and attempted to snatch the cash bag. When he resisted, the assailants attacked him with a sharp-edged weapon, injuring him. They then forcibly took away the bag containing Rs 10 lakh and fled the scene.The injured salesman was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, where his condition is stable. Upon receiving information, the Madeyganj police reached the spot and began an investigation. Confirming the incident, DCP, Vikrant Veer said that a case has been registered and evidence has been collected from the crime scene. “CCTV footage from nearby areas is being examined, and multiple teams have been formed to identify and arrest the accused,” he said.Police suspect that the attackers may have had prior information about the movement of cash, indicating a possible pre-planned robbery. Investigators are probing all angles, including local inputs and surveillance footage, to crack the case.
