‘Dhurandhar 2’ which released in cinemas on March 19 has been on a record-breaking spree ever since it released. The Ranveer Singh, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, Sara Arjun starrer hasn’t just been ringing the bell at the box office but it continues to dominate the conversations on the internet. ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has now entered its second week after a glorious first week run. The film collected a total of Rs 674 crore net in India from all langauges in week 1. Meanwhile on Friday, the film made Rs 41.75 crore. On day 10, which is Saturday, it saw growth as the number of shows have also been increased. The film collected Rs 62.85 crore on second Saturday, from 18,820 shows and saw a growth of around 44 percent. With this, it created yet another record and became the highest second Saturday number in Hindi cinema, beating ‘Pushpa 2’. The Allu Arjun starrer’s Hindi version had made Rs 46 crore on second Saturday, while just Hindi version of ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has collected Rs 58 crore on second Saturday. Though, overall with all languages combined, ‘Pushpa 2’ has an edge over ‘Dhurandhar 2’ when it comes to the second Saturday numbers as the former had collected Rs 63.30 crore in all languages. One expects the second Sunday numbers of the film to be higher than Saturday, as it’s not facing competition from any other movie. Ryan Gosling’s movie ‘Project Hail Mary’ which released in India on March 26, is not given many shows due to ‘Dhurandhar 2’. Most exhibitors prefer to keep more shows of the Aditya Dhar directorial due to high demand. As per reports, the release of Akshay Kumar‘s ‘Bhooth Bangla’ is also postponed to avoid competition from ‘Dhurandhar 2’, thus, the film will continue to enjoy its run thoroughly even through the coming week.
