Lucknow: The Lucknow Development Authority has directed allottees to download their allotment letter from its website and complete the formalities within three months, failing which the allotment will be cancelled without any prior notice. The order was issued by LDA vice-chairperson Prathamesh Kumar. The decision is part of efforts to make the allotment process more transparent and reduce procedural delays.Earlier, allotment letters were sent through registered post for LDA’s allotted residential and commercial properties through lottery, e-auction and first-come-first-served schemes.Officials said delays in delivery often forced allottees to visit LDA offices for updates. Cases of fake allotment letters being used to mislead applicants were also reported.Under the new system, allotment letters will be uploaded on the LDA website and allottees will receive SMS alerts on their registered mobile numbers. They will have to download the documents online and complete further formalities.Officials said allotments will be cancelled automatically if the document is not downloaded within three months. No separate notice will be issued. The registration amount will be refunded after deductions.
