Lucknow: As part of the ‘Environment Warriors’ campaign, aimed at strengthening forest protection and promoting education, cycle and school kit distribution programme was held at Mustafabad Forest Guest House in Pilibhit Tiger Reserve on Saturday.Chief guest Rajeshwar Singh distributed bicycles to 25 forest watchers to enhance ground-level patrolling and improve forest security. He said the initiative would strengthen surveillance and support frontline staff in conservation efforts. Highlighting ecological gains, Singh noted an increase in herbivore populations, especially deer, calling it a sign of a healthy ecosystem and successful conservation measures. To promote education and girls’ empowerment, bicycles were given to 10 meritorious students of a local primary school, while children also received welcome kits. Singh said such initiatives help boost confidence and encourage learning.
