Lucknow: Former Puducherry LG Kiran Bedi underscored the importance of clarity, courage and self-belief while addressing women entrepreneurs at the ‘Change of Guard’ ceremony of FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) Lucknow on Monday.Bedi highlighted that “clarity is the key to success” and urged women to remain visible, solution-oriented and resilient in leadership roles.Emphasising that women are natural managers, she said the goal of feminism is to change societal perception rather than empower women, who are already inherently capable.Drawing from her administrative experience, Bedi stressed the importance of human connection in governance and leadership, noting that empathy and accessibility set women leaders apart. She also encouraged entrepreneurs to focus on innovation, identify import substitutes and contribute to strengthening India’s manufacturing sector. The event also saw the launch of ‘Radio Parwaz’ at Lucknow Jail, benefiting around 3,100 inmates. The event marked the induction of Simran Sahni as the 12th chairperson of the Lucknow chapter for 2026-27, with outgoing chairperson Vandita Agarwal handing over charge. FLO national president Pooja Garg was the guest of honour.
