Lucknow: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath will on Wednesday inaugurate the sixth edition of the UP Agricultural Science Congress that will bring together leading agricultural scientists, policymakers and experts to deliberate on the future of farming in the state.Yogi is also scheduled to felicitate selected scientists for their contributions to agricultural research and innovation. The congress, being organised by the Uttar Pradesh Council of Agricultural Research (UPCAR), will be held at the Indian Institute of Sugarcane Research.This year’s theme — “Transforming Agriculture for Viksit Krishi–Viksit Bharat @ 2047″— underscores the state’s focus on aligning agricultural growth with the broader national vision of a “developed India”.According to UPCAR director general Sanjay Singh, 15 scientists chosen under the Uttar Pradesh Krishi Vaigyanik Samman Yojana (2025–26) will be honoured during the event.The three-day event will feature multiple technical sessions where experts from across the country will discuss emerging challenges, technological advancements and sustainable practices in agriculture.
