Superstar Prabhas and ‘Animal’ filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga, took a break from their work on their next film ‘Spirit’ to spend a day at the theatre, catching a screening of ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’. Fans spotted the director and actor duo taking their premium seats at a local theatre to catch the spy action film headlined by Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar. Photos doing the rounds on social media see the two getting comfortable in their seats as the film began. Photos also show Prabhas smiling as he stared at the big screen. The spotting of both Prabhas and director Vanga comes months after their film ‘Spirit’ hit the headlines following reports of Deepika Padukone’s exit from the project. Deepika was scheduled to play the female lead, only to later bow out of the project, prompting the makers to cast actress Triptii Dimri. At the time, it was reported that Padukone’s demand for an 8-hour shift and monetary demands, was reason for the exit. Prabhas’ appearance at the screening also comes at a time when ‘Dhurandhar 2‘ has beaten the nearly decade-long record held by ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’, which earned a lifetime India net collection of approximately Rs 1,030–1,033 crore. Meanwhile, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has zoomed ahead at the box office, earning an estimated Rs 1,041.27 crore net collection. Meanwhile, anticipation remains high for Vanga and Prabhas’ ‘Spirit’, which is expected to release in 2027. The film also stars Vivek Oberoi and Prakash Raj in lead roles.
