Lucknow: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath will be in Lakhimpur Kheri on Saturday, where he will address public meetings in Palia and Mohammadi Assembly constituencies and launch development projects in seven Assembly constituencies.He will also hand over land allotment letters, house keys and cheques to beneficiaries of govt schemes.A govt spokesperson said that the CM would inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for 538 projects worth Rs 1,311 crore. This includes inauguration of 345 projects worth Rs 356 crore and laying the foundation for 193 projects worth Rs 955 crore.The projects will affect seven Assembly constituencies, including Lakhimpur, Gola Gokarnnath, Srinagar, Palia, Nighasan, Mohammadi and Dhaurahra.The CM will first address a gathering in Palia’s Chandan Chowki, where he will provide land ownership documents to families of the Tharu tribe, and cheques to beneficiaries. He will also present beneficiaries with keys to houses constructed under govt schemes.He will then head to Miyanpur in Mohammadi, where he will provide land ownership documents to displaced families. Beneficiaries of various schemes will be given cheques and keys to houses under the CM Awas Yojana-Rural.The CM will give land rights to 4,356 Tharu families in 34 Palia villages over 5,338 hectares of land. These families were given land usage rights in 1976, but now they will get full ownership rights.Under the Upnivesh Yojana, 2,350 families settled in 12 colonies, which have been affected by river erosion, will be allotted 4,251 hectares of land. Among them, 1,077 families belong to Scheduled Castes and 874 families belong to Other Backward Classes.In addition, 331 Hindu families displaced from East Pakistan, now Bangladesh, have also been rehabilitated in Lakhimpur Kheri. These families were settled in various tehsils of the district, including Dhaurahra, Mohammadi and Gola. Now, agricultural land is being provided to them.In Miyanpur, 156 families have been given approximately 4.75 acres of land per family. In other villages, families have been allotted land ranging from 3 to 7 acres.These families will also be given the benefits of several govt welfare schemes. The govt has also provided ration, health services, education, roads and employment.“The CM’s visit will highlight an integrated model of development, rehabilitation and social justice on the ground. By giving land ownership rights, housing, employment and basic facilities, the govt has indicated that along with development, connecting every section of society to the mainstream is its top priority,” an official said.
