One student dead and at least 16 students injured in a school shooting in Turkey’s southeastern province of Sanliurfa, governor Hasan Sildak told reporters on Tuesday. The attacker was a teenager and former student, 19, who used a rifle for the attack. Afterwards, he shot and killed himself. The wounded were rushed to the hospital in the Siverek district, Sildak said. Twelve of the wounded were still in the hospital.
