Lucknow: Digital content and video lectures will now be part of regular teaching at National PG College as faculty members have been directed to record lectures in the classrooms or in the college recording facility and upload them on the institution’s YouTube channel for students access and revision. The decision was taken at the academic council meeting on Tuesday.The council also approved new programmes including BBA (Logistics), BSc (Digital Electronics), BCom (CFA), BCom (ACCA) and MA History along with apprenticeship embedded degree programmes aimed at improving employability and skill-based learning. Indian knowledge system and sustainable development goals have been integrated into the curriculum while SWAYAM courses have also been included in all programmes.Principal Devendra Kumar Singh said, “Admission consultancy services will be expanded and the MA (History) programme will focus on digital archiving, GIS applications, heritage studies and environmental history with internship opportunities at INTACH, state archives and Uttar Pradesh tourism. A grant of Rs 15 lakh has also been approved for major and minor research projects. We have also instructed teachers that they can be creative with their digital content using AI features in videos for better understanding of students.”
