Lucknow: Tata Group chairman N Chandrasekaran on Wednesday said the Group’s presence in Uttar Pradesh will more than double in the coming years and added that the state is poised to emerge as a major manufacturing and export hub.Chandrasekaran said UP is among the most promising industrial regions in the country, offering a conducive environment for investment, supported by improved infrastructure and policy backing.Praising the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath, Chandrasekaran said Uttar Pradesh is fast emerging as a key growth engine for India, driven by rapid infrastructure development, strong policy support and an investment-friendly climate.Chandrasekaran said, “The production of the 10th lakh commercial vehicle from the Lucknow facility reflects the strength of our longstanding partnership with UP. Over more than three decades, this collaboration has demonstrated how industry, govt and communities can come together to drive industrial excellence, create livelihoods and build capabilities. We are grateful to the UP CM and the entire state for their support.”Chandrasekaran also said the Tata Group is expanding its portfolio beyond conventional diesel vehicles to include CNG, electric and, in the future, hydrogen-powered vehicles, which could position Uttar Pradesh as a key manufacturing base for both domestic and global markets.
