The wait is over for fans as Sanjay Leela Bhansali has officially locked the release date for his much-awaited film ‘Love & War’. The grand romantic drama is set to arrive in theatres on January 21, 2027, perfectly timed to dominate the Republic Day weekend. The film which brings together Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, and Alia Bhatt, promises an intense, emotionally charged narrative mounted on a lavish scale. Known for his opulent storytelling and striking visuals, Bhansali is expected to deliver a cinematic spectacle that blends grandeur with deep emotional resonance. The film will release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.Initially planned for a Summer 2026 release, Love & War faced delays during production. Ranbir Kapoor had earlier confirmed the shift during an Instagram Live session, revealing that the film would now release after Ramayana Part One, which is scheduled to hit screens in October.According to a recent IANS report, the delay is partly due to Bhansali reshooting several crucial sequences to achieve perfection. These additional shoots have reportedly pushed up the film’s budget as well.Alia Bhatt, meanwhile, shared her excitement about the project in an interview with News18 Showsha. “I, as an audience, am more excited to see him [Bhansali] and Ranbir collaborate, again, after so many years. I am like, ‘wow, what’s that going to be like?” she said. Speaking about reuniting with Vicky Kaushal, she added, “Vicky and I coming together again; Ranbir and Vicky created magic with Sanju. So, it is a lot of combinations,” she had said.
