Lucknow: Around 4,000 defaulters in the city are set to benefit as the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) will organise camps across its schemes under the One-Time Settlement (OTS) programme starting Saturday.Under the scheme, defaulters will get relief from penalties and compound interest and can clear dues to regularise ownership. Applications will be processed within three months.Allottees paying the full amount within 30 days will get a 3% rebate. For dues above Rs 50 lakh, one-third must be paid within 30 days, with the balance payable in instalments over six months.To ease the process, a help desk has been set up at the LDA office where staff will assist applicants in filling online forms on the spot. Allottees can also apply through special camps to be held across various schemes.LDA vice-chairman Prathmesh Kumar has directed that no OTS application should be rejected or objected to at lower levels without his approval, to prevent unnecessary delays.The scheme will run from April 18 to July 17 and will cover residential and commercial properties, including EWS, LIG, MIG and HIG categories, as well as plots allotted to institutions, schools, charitable organisations and cooperative housing societies.
