Lucknow: Undergraduate admissions for the 2026–27 academic session at Lucknow University (LU) started on Friday through the Samarth portal.According to the notification issued, applicants must complete the registration process by getting Lucknow University Registration Number (LURN) from the website before filling the admission form. The registration fee is Rs 100.Candidates need to create a login ID using a valid email address, fill personal details, complete profile information and pay the registration fee through the payment gateway.After successful payment, the LURN number is generated, which is required for further application.Courses offered include BA, BSc biology, BSc maths, BCom, BCom hons, BBA, BCA, LLB integrated, BSc agriculture, B Voc renewable energy, yoga programmes and hotel management.The application fee for UG courses is Rs 1200 for general, OBC, EWS categories and Rs 600 for SC, ST, PwBD categories.For professional courses including BBA, BCA, BHMCT and D Pharma, the fee is Rs 1500 for general, OBC, EWS and Rs 750 for reserved categories.While filling the online admission form on the LU portal, students will be able to select preferences for affiliated colleges and courses through a dedicated option.After basic registration, candidates can choose and rank their preferred programmes and colleges, which will be considered during merit-based seat allocation.Fee structures will not be uniform across the system as each affiliated college will have its own charges.Colleges are still joining the centralized admission system, and the last date for inclusion in the process has been fixed as May 31.LU spokesperson Mukul Srivastava said, “After registration, candidates must fill the programme-wise form, upload documents, check eligibility, review details and submit the form. A printout of the final application form must be kept. The last date to submit online forms is May 31.”
