Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ is gearing up for its OTT debut following an exceptionally successful run in theatres. According to multiple reports, the film is expected to start streaming sometime in late May or early June 2026. It has become the first Hindi film to surpass the Rs 1000 crore net mark in India, further cementing its blockbuster status. Given this momentum, the makers are expected to maximise theatrical revenue before bringing the film to streaming platforms. The digital rights for ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ have reportedly been picked up by JioHotstar in a deal valued at around Rs 150 crore, making it one of the most lucrative OTT acquisitions for a Hindi film so far.Interestingly, this marks a shift from the previous instalment, which had premiered on Netflix. The sequel’s move to a different platform signals a change in its digital release approach. While films typically land on OTT platforms within two to three months of their theatrical release, the timeline for ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ appears to be slightly extended. The film, which hit cinemas on March 19, 2026, is still enjoying a strong run at the box office. Its continued success is believed to be the primary reason behind delaying the OTT release. ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ has shattered several records and remains a major draw for audiences weeks after its debut. The film has now begun to slow down a month after its release as Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bhooth Bangla’ directed by Priyadarshan has hit the screens.
