TNNLucknow: A grand celebration marking Parshuram Jayanti was held in the Vrindavan area of Sarojini Nagar on Sunday, where MLA Rajeshwar Singh announced financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh to Pragatisheel Brahmin Kalyan Samiti and said the event would be expanded into an annual “Parshuram Mahotsav” from next year.Addressing a large gathering on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, Singh paid tribute to Parshuram, describing him as a symbol of penance, sacrifice and righteousness. He said Parshuram’s life teaches that true victory is achieved not merely through strength but through knowledge, discipline and wisdom.Emphasising cultural preservation and social unity, Singh said such events strengthen collective identity and values. “From next year, this will be organised in a more expansive form as ‘Parshuram Mahotsav’,” he announced.Singh said that over 220 temples in the constituency have been upgraded and beautified. He also cited religious outreach efforts, including Ayodhya pilgrimages and facilitation of visits to Kartarpur Sahib.The event concluded with attendees pledging to follow the ideals of Parshuram in their lives.
