JAIPUR: Three Congress IT cell workers were among four arrested by police on Wednesday, a day after they were detained by MP police, for allegedly creating and circulating an AI-generated fake news video. It claimed former Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje criticised the BJP’s handling of the Nari Shakti Vandan legislation. The purported fake video had used a local TV channel’s logo, an anchor’s voice, and studio visuals to mislead social media users. Raje formally denied it.Police identified the accused as Bilal Khan (27), Inam Ahmad (29) and Nikhil Prajapat (22), from Madhya Pradesh. They were detained on Tuesday along with Amrita Dhumal (37) from Punjab, believed to be associated with Congress. The “fake letter” purportedly issued in Raje’s name, addressed to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, claimed that the PM used women’s reservation as a route to push delimitation.
