BJP national president Nitin Nabin said the BJP will contest the 2027 Uttarakhand assembly elections under the leadership of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.Nabin said the party would project Dhami as the face of the 2027 elections, signalling the BJP’s strategy for the state polls.In an interview with a Hindi news channel, he said the Dhami government had focused on development and governance, referring to administrative transparency and delivery of basic facilities in remote areas. He also said Uttarakhand had seen progress in recent years, while noting that every state faces challenges.The statement comes amid earlier remarks by senior BJP leaders on Dhami’s leadership.During a visit to Dehradun, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Dhami’s work. At an event in Haldwani, defence minister Rajnath Singh described him as a “formidable leader”.During a visit to Haridwar, home minister Amit Shah also called the state government’s policies people-centric and expressed confidence in the BJP securing a hat-trick victory.
