NEW DELHI: A mega campus placement drive for Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will be held this week at the university’s B.R. Ambedkar Convention Centre situated at the Maidan Garhi campus of the New Delhi-based institution. More than 200 job openings will be available at the event which will start from 10:00 AM onwards.The recruitment drive will involve companies from the fields of EdTech, aviation, hospitality, services and NGOs. According to the organisers, the effort will be made in order to provide IGNOU students and alums access to recruiters offering jobs at various job profiles.Various companies recruiting rolesSome firms have also announced their participation in the event with numerous vacancies to be filled by them. For example, CollegeDekho.com has announced the recruitment of 50 academic counsellors who will earn Rs 19,000 per month along with performance incentives. The role will be based at Sector 66, Gurugram.SarrthiIAS will hire 25 candidates in various positions such as sales manager, video editor, graphic designer and director of photography. The salary range will fall between Rs 3 lakh and Rs 3.84 lakh annually, with placements to be made at Noida Sector 62.50-60 jobs in customer service and hosts are available with Birds Flight India Pvt. Ltd. The selected applicants will get a salary of Rs 3.6 lakh per year at Delhi airport. People interested in working during the night shift can apply.The services wing of CII-IGNOU will hire 50-60 people in the position of customer support and admission counseling. Monthly salary for the job will be Rs 26,000-Rs 35,000. Sales and marketing job opportunities are available with YS Hospitality, especially for candidates living in Gurugram.Positions of data entry operator and chef trainee are available with Gupteshwar Samiti, an NGO. As a part of earn while you learn, candidates who join here will be provided with accommodation and food facilities during training. They will also get a salary of Rs 15,000.Eligibility and documents requiredThe recruitment process is for the final semester students, graduates, and even professionals. Candidates having any of the following degrees like BA, BSc, BCom, BBA, MCom and PG Diploma are eligible for the job. Some posts require candidates with just class 12 qualification.Applicants have to bring two copies of their CV, government photo id or IGNOU I-card, passport size photos along with education and experience certificates.
