Assam Class 12 board results announced on Tuesday showed a five-percentage-point rise in the Science pass rate, while Arts and Commerce recorded slight declines.Science improved from 84.88% last year to 89.79%. Commerce slipped from 82.18% in 2025 to 81.13%, and Arts fell from 81.03% to 79.54%. In the vocational stream, 74.19% of students passed.The Assam State School Education Board did not release a list of rank holders.More than 3.3 lakh candidates—the highest ever—appeared for the February–March examinations.Last year, pass percentages fell across all three major streams by 5–7%. Despite the higher turnout this year, officials said the overall performance was satisfactory, particularly in Science. In 2025, Science had dropped from 89.88% in 2024 to 84.88%, Commerce from 87.66% to 82.18%, and Arts from 88.36% to 81.03%.
