IPL franchise Punjab Kings’ co-owner Preity Zinta on Monday revealed that why her team no longer has the silver colour in their jersey. “Punjab should try to bring back its Red and silver jersey. Still remember Gilchrist taking his only wicket in that. Best jersey hands down,” a fan wrote on X, while replying to a post by Zinta. Responding to the comment, the Punjab Kings (PBKS) owner revealed that the last year’s runner-up moved away from the silver due to BCCI directive. Preity Zinta confirmed that the BCCI no longer permits teams to use white, grey or silver in their playing kits.“Silver got banned by the BCCI cuz teams complained they could not see the white ball against the silver ! I miss the silver too,” Zinta said. Punjab Kings, who used to look stylish in red-and-grey, switched to a red-and-blue in their campaigns, combining a red shirt with blue bottoms.
