Lucknow: With the intense heatwave gripping North India, Noida Power Company Ltd (NPCL) has intensified its safety awareness initiatives to enhance electrical safety in view of increasing pressure on power systems across its licensed area in Greater Noida.NPCL, which formed a dedicated safety team, has urged consumers to adopt simple but critical safety practices at home and workplaces to prevent electrical accidents.The team will conduct hands-on training sessions and safety awareness camps in high-rise residential societies, where structured awareness programmes will be held for society security personnel, society electricians and residents. These sessions aim to strengthen on-ground electrical safety practices and improve emergency preparedness within residential communities.NPCL spokesperson Manoj Jha said, “Our priority is to educate consumers on safe usage of appliances to prevent avoidable incidents such as overheating, short circuits and fire risks.”NPCL organised a daylong electrical safety awareness programme for its HT consumers last month. The training programme witnessed participation from 25 major industrial consumers, including hospitals and hotels. During the session, participants were provided with practical demonstrations on maintenance of electrical systems and safe handling and upkeep of electrical panels and distribution units.
