Lucknow: Ahead of the day-long special session of the Assembly on Thursday to discuss the Opposition’s blocking of the Women’s Reservation Amendment Bill in Parliament recently, chief minister Yogi Adityanath addressed the media and said discussions would focus on the efforts by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for ensuring the dignity, respect, self-reliance and empowerment of women on one hand, and the anti-women stance of members of the INDIA bloc.He said by supporting the bill, these parties had one chance to redeem themselves but they wasted the opportunity, further sealing their anti-women mindset.“These parties are continuously engaged in efforts to prevent the amendment and the Act from being implemented. They should now explain to the public why they opposed the bill,” he said.
