Lucknow: A 17-year-old boy was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the Madeyganj area of the city, with his body found near Daliganj crossing, about 500 metres from his residence. The incident has sparked allegations of murder by family members, who have accused a neighbour of involvement.The deceased, identified as Ayush Singh, son of late Ajay Singh, was living with his maternal uncle Arun near Shia College in Madeyganj after the death of his parents. According to Arun, Ayush had left home around 10am on Friday to work at a shop. He would usually return home in the afternoon for lunch, but failed to do so that day.When he did not return by night, the family began searching for him. Around 11:45pm, police informed them that a youth had been found unconscious near the Indian Oil tank behind Daliganj crossing. He was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead.The body was first spotted by a petrol pump supervisor, who alerted police. Identification was later confirmed with the help of a local mechanic familiar with the boy.Family members have alleged foul play, claiming Ayush had a dispute with a neighbour a day earlier, during which he was allegedly threatened with death. They pointed to multiple injury marks on his face and body and alleged that the accused and his family are absconding.ACP, Mahanagar, Ankit Kumar said that police have sent the body for postmortem examination and said further action will depend on the report.
