Lucknow: The highest number of revenue-related cases in the state were disposed of in Lucknow, according to the April report of the Revenue Court Computerised Management System (RCCMS).The report also noted that Jaunpur has remained among the top five districts in revenue case disposal at the district-level courts for the past 16 months.A state govt spokesperson said chief minister Yogi Adityanath has clearly directed that revenue dispute cases should be resolved on a priority basis.“The objective of this initiative is not only to provide speedy justice to the public but also to enhance transparency and accountability in administration,” the official said.As per the RCCMS report of the Board of Revenue, a total of 3,37,708 revenue cases were disposed of across the state in April.According to Lucknow DM, Vishakh G Iyer, the highest number of 18,861 cases were disposed of in Lucknow. This was followed by Prayagraj with 12,036 cases and Barabanki with 9,139 cases. Azamgarh secured the fourth position in the state by disposing of 8,483 cases.The spokesperson said that regular review meetings are being held to ensure timely resolution of public grievances. Pending cases in revenue courts are being cleared through focused campaigns.
