PUNE: Indian entrepreneur Bharat Gite, founder of Taural India, has been conferred the prestigious ‘Global Inspiration of the Year 2026’ award at the British Parliament. He was also honoured with a special recognition at the House of Commons, marking a significant global acknowledgement of his contributions to the aluminium industry. Popularly known as the ‘Aluminium Man of India’, Gite’s recognition at an international platform has been seen as a moment of pride for India’s industrial sector as well as for Maharashtra.The award ceremony was held at the Boothroyd Room in Portcullis House, part of the UK Parliament complex in London. The honour was presented by the South Asian Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the occasion of Gujarat and Maharashtra Foundation Day. Industrialist Alok Kirloskar was also honoured at the event, further underlining the significance of the occasion.Among those present were UK Member of Parliament Louis French, Susheel Gaikwad of Marathi Mandal London, Lord Raminder Ranger, Senior Director of the Trade, Ocean and Natural Resources Directorate, Commonwealth Secretariat, Suresh Yadav, and Mahendrasinh Jadeja, Chairman of the South Asian Chamber of Commerce and Industries.Gite has carved a niche in the aluminium sector through innovation, vision, and a strong focus on quality. With ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ as a guiding principle, he has built a robust industrial presence, contributing significantly to India’s manufacturing growth. Under his leadership, Toral India operates manufacturing units in Chakan and Supa, supplying aluminium castings to a wide range of industries in India and abroad.The recognition at the historic British Parliament is being viewed not just as a personal achievement for Gite but as a reflection of the growing global footprint of Indian entrepreneurship.
