Lucknow: Fraudulent triumphs do not last for eternity, said SP chief Akhilesh Yadav in a message posted on social media in apparent reference to BJP’s victory in Bengal.‘Har farebi fatah ki ek miyad hoti hai, ye baat hi sachchai ki buniyad hoti hai (Every fraudulent triumph has a limited life span and there is no truth more basic than this) Akhilesh posted on X on Monday evening.Though the party did not issue any formal statement on the assembly election results of the five states, SP leaders informally described BJP’s win in West Bengal as a result of the template that the saffron party had formulated during the assembly and Lok Sabha byelections in UP since 2022.Revision of the voter list to end up in bulk deletion of names from the electoral rolls and setting up of a parallel structure of central paramilitary forces besides the state police force are two major and unusual features of the Bengal elections which make it different from the polls held in the remaining four states, a senior SP functionary told TOI.
