NEW DELHI: The battle between Aam Aadmi Party and the seven Rajya Sabha MPs who have joined BJP reached President of India Droupadi Murmu’s doorstep on Tuesday.In separate meetings with the President, while Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann sought the termination of the membership of the six members from the state and emphasised the need for the “right to recall’ provision in the Constitution, MP Raghav Chadha submitted a representation alleging “dangerous vendetta politics” was being carried out against them following their exit from AAP.Amidst all this, addressing a gathering of MLAs from Punjab who had accompanied Mann to Delhi, AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal in a scathing attack alleged that BJP has stolen seven Rajya Sabha seats six of them from Punjab and that the people of state will take revenge for this in next year’s assembly elections. MP Swati Maliwal is a a member from Delhi in the Upper House.Kejriwal also accused BJP of “hijacking democracy” and “destroying” it and using central agencies like ED and CBI, to topple govts, send leaders to jail and deletion and addition of votes.After meeting the President, Mann said that he submitted a memorandum signed by Punjab MLAs.
