Lucknow: Newly elected office-bearers of the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) Employees Association on Wednesday pledged to address concerns of the staff, ensure better access to treatment and expedite the promotion process. Newly elected president, Dharmesh Kumar and general secretary Seema Shukla said resolving employee issues would be a priority.“Key focus areas include addressing concerns arising from standardisation policies, ensuring priority access to beds and OPD services for staff during emergencies and timely availability of treatment and medicines,” said Kumar.The association also proposed holding departmental promotion committees (DPCs) twice a year to speed up promotions. Other demands include strengthening residential security, improving parking facilities and setting up staff canteens across all buildings.Senior institute officials, including chief medical superintendent Dr Devendra Gupta, medical superintendent Dr Rajesh Harshvardhan and registrar Varun Bajpai, were present at the event along with a large number of employees.
